Ga-Rankuwa Nursing College 2026 Application and Requirements

On this page, you will find very useful information about Ga-Rankuwa Nursing College, such as which postgraduate programmes are offered, how accommodation is handled for students, and where the campus is located.

Before we go any further, Ga-Rankuwa Nursing College is one of the campuses of Gauteng College of Nursing. It is situated within the Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Tshwane, just 30 kilometres north of Pretoria town. The campus also shares a fence with Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU). This area has long been known for training healthcare professionals.

Ga-Rankuwa started offering nursing training in 1972, and by 1985 it was declared an autonomous college. It was affiliated to SMU for academic moderation and quality control of some of the courses. In 2019, it officially became one of the campuses under the Gauteng College of Nursing.
