If you didn’t pass matric, the Second Chance Programme gives you another opportunity to get your Grade 12 certificate. It’s all about helping you meet the requirements for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) or Senior Certificate (SC).

Closing Date for Matric Rewrite 2025

For the October/November 2025 Matric Rewrite, applications will be open from 7 August to 21 August 2025. If you’re aiming to rewrite your exams in this session, ensure you complete your application within this two-week period.

For the May/June 2025 Matric Rewrite, registrations will begin on 1 October 2024 and remain open until 7 February 2025. This window offers several months to register, allowing students to plan and prepare ahead for the mid-year exam session.
