Rahima Moosa Nursing College Applications and Requirements
Rahima Moosa Campus does not offer the standard Diploma in Nursing like other campuses. Instead, it focuses only on Postgraduate Diploma Programmes for nurses who want to further their studies in specialised fields.
The programmes that will be offered at Rahima Moosa include:
- Child Nursing
- Critical Care Nursing (Adult)
- Emergency Nursing
- Midwifery
- Nephrology Nursing
- Occupational Health Nursing
- Oncology and Palliative Nursing
- Orthopaedic Nursing
- Perioperative Nursing
- Primary Care Nursing
These are advanced qualifications, which means applicants must already be registered with the South African Nursing Council and must meet all the professional and academic requirements set by the college for each programme.
Student Accommodation
Rahima Moosa Campus does not have accommodation on-site. However, students are placed at nearby nurses’ residences through a formal agreement. These placements are at:
- Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital (CHBAH)
- Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH)
- Helen Joseph Hospital (currently under construction)
If you are accepted into a programme, you will be guided on how the placement process for accommodation works. These residences are not within the campus, but are part of the broader health district system.
