Elangeni College 2027 Online Application Guide

Elangeni TVET College is now accepting online applications for the 2026 academic year. This public institution in KwaZulu-Natal offers various vocational and technical programmes that are eligible for NSFAS funding.


How to Apply Online

To complete your application for 2026, follow these steps:

  1. Career Interest Questionnaire: You must start with this screening. It helps match your interests with the most suitable course.
  2. Access the Portal: Visit the Elangeni Application Portal.
  3. Register Your Account: Click on Register a new account and create a profile using your ID number and email address.
  4. Select Year and Campus: Choose 2026 as your academic year and pick your preferred campus from the list.
  5. Choose Your Course: Select the specific programme you wish to study.
  6. Submit and Upload: Upload your supporting documents and submit. You will receive a reference number once complete.

Documents Required

You must upload certified copies of these documents (certified within the last 3 months):

  • Your South African ID.
  • Your parent or guardian’s ID (if you are under 18).
  • Your latest school report (Grade 9 for NCV; Grade 12 for N4–N6).
  • Proof of residence.
  • Proof of your NSFAS application (or proof of payment if you are self-funded).

Courses Offered for 2026

National Certificate Vocational (NCV)

These are three-year full-time programmes.

  • Requirement: Minimum Grade 9 pass.
  • Fields: Electrical Infrastructure, Office Administration, Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, Primary Agriculture, Civil Engineering, and IT/Computer Science.

NATED Programmes (Report 191)

  • Business Studies (N4–N6): Business Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Public Management, and Management Assistant.
    • Requirement: Grade 12 pass.
  • Engineering Studies (N1–N6): Electrical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering.
    • Requirement: Grade 10 or 11 for N1–N3; Grade 12 for N4.

Entry Requirements Summary

  • NCV: Minimum Grade 9 pass; 3 years full-time study.
  • Engineering N1–N3: Minimum Grade 10 with Mathematics and Physical Science (Mathematical Literacy is not accepted).
  • Business N4–N6: National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
  • Skills Programmes: Requirements vary from Grade 9 to 11.
