Tshwane North TVET College (TNC) is a public institution in Gauteng that is now accepting online applications for the 2026 academic year. The college has over 20,000 students across six campuses and offers various vocational and technical programmes.
Application Steps
To apply at TNC, follow these four steps:
1. Complete the Placement Screening Test
You must complete a compulsory Pre-Screening Test online before you start your application. This test helps you see if you are ready for your chosen course. You can still apply for a course even if the test suggests a different one, but you must understand the risks involved.
2. Register on the Application Portal
Visit the official website at www.tnc.edu.za. Click on the Apply Online button and create a profile using your personal details, email address, and mobile number.
3. Upload Your Documents
You need to scan and upload certified copies of the following documents. Note that certifications must not be older than three months:
- Your ID or birth certificate.
- Your latest academic results or Matric certificate.
- Proof of residence (such as a municipal bill).
- ID of a parent or guardian if you are under 18 years old.
- For international students: A valid study permit and a SAQA Evaluation Certificate.
4. Submit Your Application
Complete all the required fields, choose your campus and course, and submit. TNC does not charge an application fee. Once submitted, you will receive a student reference number via email.

TNC has six campuses located in the greater Tshwane area:

The college has a central office in Pretoria. There is also a student residence at the Soshanguve South Campus which is currently being renovated to house 300 students.

These are three-year full-time programmes. You need at least Grade 9 to apply.

These courses are divided into semesters or trimesters. You need Grade 12 to apply (or Grade 11 with Mathematics for Engineering).
- Engineering (N1–N6): Electrical, Civil, and Mechanical.
- Business and Utility (N4–N6): Financial Management, Business Management, Human Resource Management, Public Management, Marketing Management, and Management Assistant.
