Lovedale TVET College is one of the oldest educational institutions in the Eastern Cape. It has three campuses: Alice, King William’s Town, and Zwelitsha. This guide explains how to apply for the 2026 academic year.
How to Apply Online for 2026
Follow these steps to complete your application:
Step 1: Visit the Portal
Go to the official application website: https://lovedale.coltech.co.za.
- New students must click “Register an Account”.
- Returning students should click “Login”.
Step 2: Create an Account and Pre-Screening
Register with your ID number, name, email, and cellphone number. You must then complete a career guidance screening. This helps find the best course for your skills. You will receive a report once finished.
Step 3: Upload Documents
You need to upload clear PDF copies of these documents:
- Your South African ID or passport.
- Your Grade 12 certificate or latest school results.
- Proof of your home address.
- ID of your parent or guardian if you are under 18 years old.
Step 4: Submit the Form
Fill in your personal and educational details. Choose your course and campus, then click “Submit”. Make sure all information is correct to avoid being disqualified. You can also see a list of other colleges that are open if you want to apply to more than one place.
Step 5: Track Your Status
Log back into the portal and check “My Applications” to see your progress. The college will contact successful students via SMS or email. It is helpful to check the TVET college calendar to know when the different terms and exams take place.

Lovedale offers various qualifications including NCV (Level 2 to 4) and Report 191 (N1 to N6).
